Lyocell is an innovative textile material that combines the merits of synthetic yarn(high strength and esthetics) and natural fibers(comfortable and biodegradable). It is produced from wood pulp, which is spun into a solvent bath.

Its closed-loop manufacturing process recovers and reprocesses 99.5% of the amine oxide solvent, which is nontoxic and non-corrosive.

Because the solvent is recycled efficiently and the wood is harvested from fast-growing trees raised for this end use, Lyocell is much more environmentally friendly than viscose rayon.
